Clarinéo Tuition

I teach Clarinéo for children from the age of 5 upwards. Adult beginners can also start learning on the Clarinéo if they prefer.

I am a Nuvo Ambassador, and for children from age 5 or complete beginners I offer tuition with their Clarinéo, an instrument very similar to the clarinet. For more information, have a look at the video below.

The Clarinéo is an excellent starting instrument for students who aren't able to access a traditional clarinet yet, either due to the strength and size of hands needed to play it, or simply because of the cost. The Clarinéo is designed to be robust enough for very young musicians, but also suitable for adults who are just starting out in music.

For students just beginning music, I will provide instruction in basic care and maintenance of the instrument and how to read music.

If you choose to progress to playing the traditional clarinet, I can give guidance on how to choose an instrument, mouthpiece and reeds to suit you.

Students wanting to have Clarinéo lessons can either bring their own instrument, or you can hire one from me to take home and practice with.

Clarinéo lessons last 30 minutes and are one-to-one  in my home studio (with parents in attendance for young children). I use a variety of different teaching methods, including online resources. You will get your own learning journal so you can keep track of how you're doing, and we can put some of the key points from our lessons online so you can make better progress at home.
